What’s been happening:

After I earned my PhD in Theatre from Northwestern University, I was one of three founding faculty of the Theatre Arts Department at CSU, San Bernardino, teaching acting, directing, creative drama, drama literature and oral interpretation. After 33 years I retired as Professor Emeritus. Two most rewarding achievements were creating the Dept.'s Childrens Theatre Certificate and the Imagination Players, a touring company for elementary schools. I was editor for Readers Theatre News, a national publication. I was active in the California Educational Theatre Association, serving as VP/Regional Director of The Theatre Auditions & Interviews, held in conjunction with the Kennedy Center/American College Theater Festival (KC/ACTF), for which I was an adjudicator. I was one of 100 university professors nationwide to receive scholarships to attend the 25th Anniversary of KC/ACTF in Washington, DC. where I trained with Uta Hagen. In 1993, I received the Kennedy Center Medallion for Outstanding Contribution to the American College Theater Festival. My husband of 31 years is Michael Stapleton, a musician. Mike built our home in Lake Arrowhead, CA, where we lived in beauty for 24 years. We lost it all to a wildfire in 2007. I was deeply involved with a wildlife rescue/rehab center in the mountains. My favorite critter is a bobcat, now 6 years old. I will continue this work when we have found a "home". A passionate environmentalist, tap dancing, singing, kayaking and camping add much enjoyment to the present adventure.
